Excerpt: The Board heard several requests for funding during their January 18 meeting, taking each under consideration while they work on the 2011-2012 budget. Among those requesting funds were Betty Brotherton and Shirley Phillips requesting $8,400 for the county's museums, split evenly among the the seven museums. 2010 visitors in the museums: Sac City, 4360; Lake View, 837; Lytton, 512; Odebolt, 354; Wall Lake, 217; Nemaha,2; Auburn, 0.
NEW RESTAURANT IN LAKE VIEW The restaurant being built near the Boulders motel in Lake View will be named "Glacier Bay" after a contest was held with 325 entries. The restaurant is scheduled to open in Spring 2011.
A VA OUTPATIENT CLINIC to serve western Iowa veterans is set to open at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll with ribbon-cutting on Feb. 18 and services starting on Feb. 22.

Everyone is welcome. Donations will be accepted.
Each of the congregations in Odebolt--Faith Lutheran, First Presbyterian, St. Martin, Trinity Lutheran and United Methodist--will be participating.
