O-A/BC-IG MS TAG soup supper
The O-A/BC-IG Middle School TAG soup supper and a 31-bag chance booth will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 5-7 p. m. before the varsity basketball game at the O-A/BC-IG High School.

The menu includes: chili, cheese potato and chicken noodle soups, bars, veggies and lemonade. A free will donation will be accepted with all proceeds going to middle school TAG ield trips.

Tickets for the chance booth are $1 for one, $5 for six and $10 for 12. Winners will be drawn during the boys’ half time.

Dollars for Scholars fund-raiser is Jan. 20

The O-A/BC-IG Dollars for Scholars Foundation will host its annual pancake brunch fund-raiser at the Odebolt Community Center on Sunday, Jan. 20 from 9:30 a. m. until 1 p. m.

The foundation and students will be serving pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, juice, and coffee for a free will donation. All proceeds from this event fund the scholarships provided each year to O-A/BC-IG seniors who apply.

Each 2013 senior graduate of the Odebolt-Arthur and Battle Creek-Ida Grove School Districts will receive scholarships toward postsecondary education of approximately $2,800-$3,600 per student.



Community Basket - From Faith Lutheran's newsletter, "Parish Visitor"

In spite of snow the Community Basket was held on Thursday, December 27th at the Odebolt Community Center. There were 67 households served.

The next Mobile Pantry is January 17th at Bethel Lutheran Church in Kiron. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

If you know of anyone that is in need of food assistance they are welcome to go to the Community Basket Pantry in Ida Grove which is open every Thursday from 1-4.

Community Basket is a mobile food pantry being brought to our area by the communities of Holstein, Galva, Cushing, Ida Grove, Arthur, Odebolt, Battle Creek, and Kiron, by community leaders, and Siouxland Food Bank
