ODEBOLT, Iowa (KTIV) - That powerful earthquake killed hundreds and injured thousands more. Now, rescue missions are underway to save victims and recover bodies.

Karen Hemer of Odebolt, Iowa got a big shock Sunday morning when she heard about the earthquake in Ecuador because her brother is there. He's an Odebolt native, born and raised. His family describes him as an avid traveler and free spirit. Now, he's fighting for his life.  .... She found out her brother, 64-year-old Dean Einspahr, who had been traveling in in Conoa, Ecuador, was hit by the quake.
