Dance night March 12
The O-A/BC-IG Dance Team will present its annual dance night fund-raiser on Saturday, March 12, at the high school. Dinner and chance booth will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m., with performances
at 7 p.m. The meal is $5 and includes a tavern or hot dog, chips, bar and drink. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children. For more information, contact Kelsie Nettles at 364-2360.



O-A/BC-IG Las Vegas Night March 17
The O-A/BC-IG Music Boosters will hold its annual Las Vegas night fund-raiser Thursday, March 17, at the high school.  Supper will be served from 5-6 p.m., with games, chance booth and entertainment from 6-8 p.m. The event will conclude with four drawings for $125 in pork and beef certiicates from the Ida County Beef and Pork Producers and Music Boosters. All proceeds will go toward new band uniforms.

Cranston purchases The Flower Shoppe
James Cranston of Odebolt recently purchased The Flower Shoppe in Ida Grove.

Cranston said, “We will be changing the name to “Flowers and More…,” featuring interior décor, flowers and more. We will continue to carry on Sherry’s amazing and beautiful talents. Sherry Thies has been an amazing mentor in working with me and teaching me all about the flower world. Sherry will still be here as part of my crew. However, she will be taking some much deserved days off to enjoy her family.”

According to Cranston, a Facebook page and website will be coming soon.

O-A/BC-IG to host annual Hike Bike
Family and friends of O-A/BC-IG students will soon see the familiar blue envelopes once again in their mailboxes as the annual Whitey Thompson Hike Bike event nears. To participate, students complete a packet of sponsor letters. Extra packets are available from each of the school buildings and the United Bank of Iowa ofices. Completed sponsor letters then need to be returned to school before March 18. Students who turn in packets after this date may not get a t-shirt.

The 2016 Whitey Thompson Hike Bike is scheduled for May 4 at 1:45 p.m. The hike bike starts at Skate Palace in Ida Grove. All school buildings will be dismissing at 1 p.m. that day.

Hike Bike is a fun event hosted for O-A/BC-IG students of all ages.Participants will have a fun day walking or biking the trail in Ida Grove, creating memories with their friends and have a chance at some great prizes. Funds raised from the Hike Bike event go to the Dollars for Scholars program..

Odebolt Specialty Care to host Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter egg hunt will be March 26 with the 4-H doing the hunt. The nursing home will provide cookies, juice and popcorn for the kids.  Call the nursing home for more information.
