Tax Preparation Services in Sac County
Free tax preparation by an IRS-certified volunteer is available in Sac County for the sixth year.
The Sac Partners for Progress has sponsored a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site since 2010. The VITA program offers income tax preparation for individuals and families with lower to moderate incomes.

Sign up for Emergency Alerts
Residents of Sac County can now sign up to receive emergency alerts through a new notification system. The county has started to use the system to provide emergency and public information alerts to residents. This is a free service to all residents of Sac County. Click here for the easiest way to sign up for alerts.
Alert Iowa was developed by the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEMD) to provide all counties with access to a single, statewide notification system. For more information ion the Alert Iowa system, visit the HSEMD website.

5th Biennial Sac County Quilt-A-Fair will be held at the Sac County Fair Grounds on September 26-27, 2015. The Sac County Quilters hope to welcome new members at their first planning meeting at First Christian Church in Sac City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
