Community Basket

Statistics say that 1 out every 5 children suffer from food insecurity and the Community Basket is one way in which we are working to alleviate this need in our communities. Community Basket is made up of 7 area communities and receives no federal funding but is supported strictly by donations.

Thursday, February 19 
Battle Creek Fire Station 
starting at 4:30 pm

March 19th -  Holstein United Methodist Church 4:30pm
April 16th -  Odebolt Community Center 4:30pm

Last month in Arthur 98 households were served and the site pantry served about 40 households with 12 of them having also used the mobile pantry.

The site pantry that is a part of Community Basket is located in the basement of the Medical Arts Building, 701 East Second Street, in Ida Grove, and is open on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-4:00, with the exception being the day of the mobile distribution.
