ONRC Participates in the ALS Challenge
Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center participated in the ALS challenge on August 27.  Staff has chosen to donate their "Casual Friday" donations to the ALS Association in honor of an ONRC resident.  ONRC staff are challenging the staff at Mark Hansen's Rex Chevrolet.  Buckets up to stamp out ALS!


Five Siblings Celebrate
Johnson siblings, totaling 437 years, gathered in early August with children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors to celebrate the 90th birthday of Helen Mauritz, née Helen Johnson, of Kiron, Iowa.  Helen's siblings are Howard P. Johnson, Virginia Nelson, Wayne G. Johnson and Elaine Duell.  They are the children of the late Gust and Ruth Johnson of Odebolt, and are all graduates of Odebolt High School.  Helen was a WAVE during WWII.


Healthy Feet Clinic
Sac County Health Services wishes to inform area residents of the upcoming foot care clinic in Odebolt on Tuesday, September 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Pre-registration is requested to avoid a long wait for services.

To set up an appointment please call Sac County Health Services at (712) 662-4785 or 1-800-967-3984 no later than 11:00 a.m. on September 16.


Arthur Summer Reading Program Grand Finale
The Arthur Public Library ended a great summer of reading with awards at the library and a field trip to the Sanford Museum and Planetarium in Cherokee on August 16.  Eighty people (kids and adults) were signed up for the program and they read 3,216 books this summer.  The Arthur Public Library has resumed regular hours:  Tuesdays 2:00-6:30 p.m., Thursdays 2:00-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.  The Read After School Program will start again ion Tuesday, September 2, at 4 p.m.
