WATER NOTICE
City of Odebolt

FLUSHING HYDRANTS

The City of Odebolt will begin flushing hydrants Tuesday, September 4 starting at 8:00 a.m.  This may result in low water pressure or at times no water pressure.  You may also experience rusty or discolored water throughout the week.


Renze Foundation Announces Grants
Iowa Savings Bank of Carroll, Iowa, Trustee of the Gilbert and Barbara Renze Foundation, recently announced the 2012 cycle grant awards, including two awards for Odebolt projects.  With these awards, the foundation has granted a total of $211,759.20 for charitable purposes in Sac and Carroll counties since its creation.

Odebolt Betterment Committee received a grant of $3,040 for restoration of Peterson Pioneer Home.

The Rural Legacy Project was awarded $5,000 for restoration of Richland #1 School building.


Volunteers "Clean Up"
Farmers Cooperative Company in Odebolt wanted to give back to the community by cleaning the Memorial Walk trail.  They washed all the benches and plaques and picked up trash along the trail.  Volunteers were Rana Lansink, Renee Phillips, Elisha Ehrig, Kevin Schimerowski, Alex Downs, Adam Zlotowski, Todd Wessel and Greyson Gust.


Carstensen Chairs Beef Check-Off Committee
Terri Carstensen, a farmer/feeder from Odebolt, chaired the beef check-off's national joint advertising committee as the producer group considered consumer market research and reviewed 2013 advertising campaign concepts during the cattle industry's summer conference July 25-28 in Denver.
