50 YEARS AS ORGANIST
Corinne Down of Odebolt was recently recognized and honored for fifty years as organist for the United Methodist Church at 301 S. Walnut in Odebolt.

A reception for her was held Sunday, October 23 with family and friends in attendance.

DONATE BLOOD
The American Red Cross will be coming to the Odebolt Community Center on November 3.  They will be set up from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

RICHLAND #1 SCHOOL HOUSE
With the building in place on Second Street in Odebolt after its move from the Carol Raasch farm four miles north and east of Odebolt, work will begin on giving it a facelift and making it ready for the winter elements.  Some siding and the roof will have to be replaced and new windows and doors installed, for starters.

The process has begun to see if the Richland #1 building would qualify for the National Register of Historic Buildings.  Odebolt is fortunate to have the actual 1883 building, with many of its features intact, and many original artifacts ready to go into place once it is restored.

Funding for this project has been provided by the Sac County Endowment Foundation Grant, the Gilbert and Barbara Renze Foundation Grant, and community donations.
