School museum: Greg Neville Construction crews have dug the footings and poured the foundation for the Rural Legacy Project’s plan to move the Richland #1 school building to the vacant lot on Second Street in Odebolt adjacent to the Greenspace Park. Tentative plans are to move the building this fall, install electricity and begin the interior work this winter. Sac County Endowment and the Gil and Barbara Renze Foundation Grants are funding part of the work. The building will be a museum dedicated to the rural development of Iowa and its communities, which centered round the many rural school districts. (Photo submitted)
