Members of the Odebolt Historical Museum Met on July 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present – Renae Babcock, Alice Hemphill, Marilyn King, Kathy Larson, Mary Schroeder and Rebecca Ullrich.
President Kathy Larson called the meeting to order. The secretary’s report was approved as read. The Treasurer’s report was presented and approved.
Old Business – Kathy has found protective sleeves to protect the many obituaries, marriage announcements given to the museum from the Betty Raasch estate. Renae made a motion to purchase the protective sleeves, Marilyn seconded the motion – motion carried.
Kathy will contact Dari Mohr about getting the upstairs’ windows fixed. Hopefully this will take care of the bat problem. The front windows need to be finished chalking.
New Business – Roland Linman estate has given a list of many nice things to add to our collection. Thelma Schroeder received several unique items from Bill Wright which will be added to the collection. Nancy Hugeback gave the museum some old ink bottles. The museum is in need of vintage children’s clothing. If anyone has items that they would like to donate to the business contact any museum member.
Next meeting will be August 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
