From the on-line edition at www.idacountycourier.com

(Read a line-up of activities during the June 17-19 Odebolt Creek Days in the Courier.)

Horse trip:  (click the photo to enlarge it)  The Odebolt-Arthur preschool classes took a field trip to the Rick Schroeder farm last week. The class had been learning about farm animals with an emphasis on horses and ranching. They rode on a hayrack to the pasture to see the mares and foals and then each child was treated to a horse ride. Kris Schroeder and Linda Siebrecht teach the students. ONRC Auxiliary plans Father’s Day cookout
The Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center Auxiliary met May 19.
Taesa Bailey reported there was a good turnout for the community cookout. She has flowers from Prairie Pedlar for the planters around the home and hoped to plant them soon. Bailey reported a new generator is being installed for the nursing home.
Sonia Snyder reported the ice cream social was nice, and the residents enjoy something special once in awhile.
The balloon lift off went okay, in spite of a windy day and the balloons going into the tree to the north. They have not heard back from anyone. The Mothers’ Tea was nice with 62 ladies here.
The Father’s Day cookout is June 21.
Snyder thanked the volunteers for their help and said she needs help with bingo on Tuesdays and Fridays and doing nails twice a month.
Snyder reported there’s been a good resident turnout on piano music evenings. She said about 50 children attended the nursing home Easter egg hunt. Easter baskets were given to the winners of the coloring contest.
A coat rack is going to be made for assisted living and the auxiliary has voted to pay for it.
Next meeting is June 16 with Margaret Landgraf serving.
