HEMER WINS DEKALB AWARD
Ryan Hemer of OA-BCIG was recently presented the school's highest agricultural honor, the 2011 DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award.  He received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience.

TORNADO AFTERMATH:  HELPING HANDS
Students from East Sac County, Ridge View (Schaller-Crestland and Galva-Holstein) and OA-BCIG (Odebolt Arthur-Battle Creek Ida Grove) and well as neighbors and friends and many Sac County businesses joined together on April 13 to help with the clean-up from the April 9 tornadoes in Sac County.  Heading out into the fields and farm places, the students picked up debris from buildings destroyed by the tornadoes.  Many volunteers fed the students and other helpers at the Nemaha Fire Station for lunch on April 13, with the Sac County Pork Producers and Sac County Beef Producers providing the grills and burgers, and businesses and other donors providing the food for over 1,600 hard-working volunteers.

OA-BCIG SENIOR SERVICE DAY
On April 13th the OA-BCIG seniors traveled to Mapleton to help with the recent storm damage.  The students worked hard and saw firsthand the destruction that fell upon this small community.
