During the opening segment of the meeting, Kenealy shared information related to:
• enrollment trends for both districts,
• a spreadsheet developed by Kathy Leonard, shared business manager, that identified the projects completed in both districts since the 2009-10 school year through the 2014-15 school year and the costs associated with those projects that totaled more than $7.9 million spent on facilities, grounds, projects and equipment since the 2009-10 fiscal year through the PPEL Fund and the LOSS/SILO/SAVE Funds,
• a document that listed the summer projects undertaken during the past summer and the costs associated with those projects,
• and additional documents that listed the major projects undertaken since whole-grade sharing and operational sharing began, other projects completed in classrooms during the same time period that weren’t on the previous documents and a list of identified needs for the Odebolt-Arthur buildings and grounds that were prepared by Roger Walter, shared director of facilities.

Following the review of the previously listed documents, the committee members were led on a tour of the Odebolt-Arthur Elementary and O-A/BC-IG building. The tour was led by Doug Mogensen, elementary/middle school principal, and Walter.

At the conclusion of the tour, the committee met to review what they had learned and then set the next meeting for Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m., at the O-A/ BC-IG High School Building in Ida Grove. The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:20 p.m.

Thanksgiving Baskets Delivered
What a joy it was on Wednesday, November 18th when a number of people from Odebolt, Arthur and Kiron gathered together to fill the Thanksgiving Baskets that the congregations of our communities provided. There were 9 baskets for Kiron, 11 for Arthur, 24 for Odebolt and another 3 families who are faithful recipients at the Community Basket Mobile. We were also able to provide 3 turkeys to others in the community. None of this would have been possible without your generous donations. Thank you so very much.

Kris Gunderson receives so much credit as she is the one who watched the papers for all of the specials to get the best prices for the baskets. The baskets contained, a turkey, 5lb of potatoes, carrots, pie, rolls, sweet potato/yam, 2 cans of green beans, cream of mushroom soup, french fried onions, jello, marshmallows, cranberries, stuffing mix and gravy mix.
