Jeff says: This past weekend, we celebrated the grand opening of the Iowa Rural Schools Museum in my hometown, Odebolt, Iowa. The schoolhouse, built in 1883, was moved from our farm to town a couple years ago, and after many months, it has been restored to preserve our heritage. My grandmother Margaret "Betty" (Shirk) Raasch was a teacher in a schoolhouse like this, and my mom Carol Skelton Raasch played a key role in the restoration project, along with many others. Check it out if you are in the area!
