Community Basket

Community Basket Mobile Pantry
What a blessing to be a part of something that is making a difference in people's lives. In October at Battle Creek we served 86 households, 145 adults, 93 children.

98% of those served were at or below the guidelines provided for us from Siouxland Food Bank. The guidelines are 185% of poverty level. This mobile pantry is an outreach ministry of 7 area communities, (Galva, Arthur, Odebolt, Ida Grove, Kiron, Holstein and Battle Creek) wanting to make life a bit easier for those in need.

Working with Siouxland Food Bank we are able to purchase about 13 pounds of food for $1.00, but in order to purchase the food we need support from our communities.

If would like to make a donation to the Community Basket you may do so through your congregation or by making a deposit at any United Bank of Iowa.

The next distribution date is November 15th in Holstein at the United Methodist Church.

Odebolt will be the distribution site in January and Kiron in February.
