Piano Students at 2012 Festival
Morning Musicale, the local chapter of National Federation of Music Clubs, hosted its 25th annual music festival on Saturday, March 17th, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holstein.  Bethel Baptist Church in Newell also provided facilities for this year's festival for performances on Friday, March 16th.

76 piano students performed for this festival representing eight teachers.  Odebolt piano teachers belonging to the Federation are Barb Votrobeck and Sonja Nielsen.

Fundraiser for Peterson Pioneer Home
The Odebolt Betterment Committee (OBC), with the assistance of the Richland Robins and OA Showmen 4-H clubs, held an omelet brunch on March 18 to raise money to relocate the Peterson Pioneer Home.

The Peterson Pioneer Home was built in 1886, restored to its original state in 1976, and is now in need of substantial repair.  The opportunity to place the Peterson home adjacent to the downtown country school house would provide much greater visibility and convenient access for visitors.  The OBC is excited about the goal to give new life to this small immigrant house during the coming year.  Donations to the OBC for this project continue to be accepted and appreciated.
