Brenda Manmiller, 67, of Odebolt was sentenced to one-year probation in Sac County District Court March 3.
On Feb. 26, Manmiller filed a written plea of guilty to theft in the third degree. Count two, ongoing criminal conduct-unlawful activity was dismissed.
The Sac County Sheriff’s Ofice originally charged Manmiller with theft in the first degree on Dec. 8, 2014, following an investigation in November 2014. Manmiller was alleged to have misappropriated funds belonging to Jim’s TV and Appliance in Odebolt.
An earlier story "Bookkeeper accused of bilking area store for $25K+ "indicated that "The total loss by Jim’s TV and Appliance is still not fully known, but it appears it will be over $25,000 over a several year period."
