O-A/BC-IG presents ‘Buckshot and Blossoms’
Put on your best bib and tucker as the cast and crew of the O-A/ BC-IG drama department make sure that everything is in apple pie order so that all can have a hogkillin’ time. Under the direction of Kari Ann Jurgenson, “Buckshot and Blossoms” is a rip-roaring spoof of the Old West written by Tim Kelly.

“Buckshot and Blossoms” is a melodramtic comedy that takes place in the Trail Dust Hotel in the Arizona Territory of the 1880s. Down at the Trail Dust Hotel, Whip, the villain and leader of the Whip Lash Gang, creates schemes to rob citizens while working with his partner, Pearl of the Pecos. The fair maiden Annabelle Rawlins, owner of a mine that Whip is trying to take ownership of, pushes against guns inside of city limits. And, the town hires a new sheriff, hero Johnny Wright, also known as the “fastest gun in the west.”

Students have been working hard and preparing this comedy for all to enjoy. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 14 at the high school.

The cast features Autumn Rohlk (Cactus Kate), Vandy Mosier (Mrs. Juniper), Kelsey Dausel (Letty), Kirsten Dausel (Netty), Mally Sangpanjun (Miss Gray), William Lozier (Alibi), Elliott Bengford (Hopalot), Stephen Stangl (Whip Lash), Courtney Peters (Pearl of the Pecos), Dallas Hare (Saddleblanket Rawlins), Alyssa Mason (Sally Sutton), Tanya Burow (Minerva), Bailey Ross (Mrs. Norton), Gable Sohm (Mayor Norton), Blake Netherton (Johnny Wright), Daltyn Swanger (Andy Allen), Hannah Veit (Widder Jones), McKinna Faulkenberry (Henrietta Geyser), Carrie Miller (Dolly Roger), Leah Lierman (Annabelle Rawlins), Sydney Bauer (Judy Ford), Marzia Shivers-Fineran (Nellie Rectangle) and Andrew Mace (The Durango Kid). Also, the townspeople are Alexia Thomas, Bree Henningsen, Madison Schiernbeck, Emma Endrulat, Sarah Black, Claire Sohm and Ellie Diersen.
