Renze Grants Awarded
The Gilbert and Barbara Renze Foundation received a large number of grant applications for the 2015 funding cycle.

Two Odebolt projects are grant recipients:
  • Odebolt Public Library (Field-Carnegie) for an automation project
  • City of Odebolt in support of their rural legacy project
The Gilbert and Barbara Renze Foundation was created for the purpose of supporting worthy charitable projects for residents of Sac and Carroll counties.  With this year's grants, the Renze Foundation has distributed charitable cash grants totaling $407,916.82 since its start in 2010.


Canning is Making a Comeback
Want to learn the fine art of canning, freezing and drying fruits and vegetables?  Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach in Sac County is offering a program that will benefit both beginning and experienced preservers.

Food Preservation 101 will be held Monday, August 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sac County ISU Extension and Outreach office, 620 Park Avenue, Sac City.  Registration Fee:  $10.
