Races for open school board seats
The school board nomination papers are in.  At Odebolt-Arthur, there are three seats open on the school board. Seeking election to the three seats are incumbents Pat Hoefling and Paul Neumann, both of Odebolt, Stacy Raasch of Odebolt and Brad Lundell of Kiron. The three candidates with the most votes will fill the three board seats.  The school board election is Sept. 8.




Library program: Steve and Debbie Loger of Odebolt and their comfort Shelties, Toby, Meeka and Sunday, presented a program at the Battle Creek Public Library July 27. The Logers explained the difference between comfort dogs and service dogs, what training and grooming is required before making visits and read the book, “May I Pet Your Dog?” Each guest at the program was given a bookmark.
