Master Gardeners Training Program
Sac County Extension and Outreach is now taking applications for the
Sac County Master Gardeners training program starting in September. Application deadline is September 11, 2015.
Two OA/BCIG students, Carter Anderson and Skyler Wareham, built a gas-powered bike in the small engines class they were taking this past school year. The sophomores' bike won first place at the district meet held in Des Moines. The bike was then taken to Western Iowa Tech Fair for state competition and received second place. The bike has been placed on display at the WIT Museum for public viewing. The boys' project was sponsored by Farmers Coop, First State Bank, Lundell Plastics, VT Industries and Jim's TV & Appliance.
Congratulations to these boys on their accomplishment. Watch for the bike around town during the upcoming Odebolt Creek Days.
