Knee High Naturalists- Earth Day
Wednesday, April 15th
Sac County Conservation Building in Hagge Park
9:30-10:15 am & 4:00-4:45 pm


This program is for children ages 2-4 and an attending adult. Kids and adults alike will participate in crafts, activities, and enjoy a snack. This month we will be getting ready for Earth Day! There are two identical 45 minute sessions per day.

This program is free of charge, but preregistration is required.

Frog & Toad Survey Training
Thursday, April 16th
Sac County Conservation Building in Hagge Park
5:30-9:00 PM

During this training participants will learn to identify Iowa’s frogs
and toads by sight and sound, learn how to collect and report data, be
assigned a route, and take a hands-on field trip to put the new skills

Earth Day Birthday Party!

Come celebrate Earth Day with us at this free, public, event. For the
first ½ hour we will make crafts, play games, and meet some animals.
After that we will watch an Earth Day related movie!

Explore Local Parks: Grant Edition

This spring we are going to explore the natural spaces we have right here in Sac County! In May we are going to look around Grant Park near Auburn. In this free, family oriented program participants will learn about the park, go on a hike, create something to take home and enjoy a snack. Reservations appreciated.

Want to know how to identify wild edibles? Ever wanted to make a meal from plants found in your backyard? In this free, public program we will explore wild edibles of Sac County. There will be an ID session, hike, cooking, and of course a sampling portion of the program. Space is limited so make a reservation today.
