Ziegmann Named State Champion
Reece Ziegmann, 8-year-old son of Joel and Amy Ziegmann of Odebolt, was named State Champion at the Iowa AAU Super PeeWee State Tournament on March 8, 2015 at Young Arena in Waterloo.  He wrestles for the Mat Rats Wrestling Club. 

Reece participated in a 64-man bracket as a second-grader at 62 pounds.

Reece has been a three-time state place finisher, finishing 2nd place at 50 pounds in kindergarten and 2nd place at 56 pounds in first grade.  He finished the season with a record of 48-4.


$2,500 Donation to O-A Elementary School
Ann Youngquist has been selected as the 2015 Sac County winner in America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.  The program enrolls farmers for a chance to win $2,500, which is then donated to the farmer's nonprofit of choice.  Ann Youngquist selected Odebolt-Arthur Elementary to receive the donation.


Fish & Chicken Fry
Over 300 people were served the the Odebolt Fire Department's annual Fish & Chicken Fry on April 3 at the Odebolt Community Center.  Free will donations were accepted and several door prizes were given.  The annual event serves as a fundraiser for needed supplies and/or equipment.


Blood Drive
The next LifeServe Blood Center blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Odebolt Community Center.  Click here to schedule an appointment.
