Annual Potato Dig
Saturday, October 18th 1:00 P.M.
1805 270th Street, Odebolt, IA
Greg & Melissa Raasch will be bringing their Percheron horses to pull a 1900 antique potato plow to dig potatoes.  Kids are welcome and can keep some potatoes after the dig.  Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy the show.

The doll house located in the house will be open for preview.


Hunters' Lunch will be held in the Odebolt United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 25th from 11-1.  Serving creamed chicken on biscuits with coleslaw, chili, maid rites, hot dogs, chili dogs and homemade pies. 

 Trick or Treat Night set in area towns
In Odebolt and Arthur, Friday, October 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. has been declared the official night.

If you wish to participate, please turn your porch lights or front entrance lights on as a welcome signal.

Also, please drive slowly and turn your headlights on earlier to spot children from a greater distance.  Happy Haunting!

October is Fire Safety Awareness

A special section in this week's issue honors area volunteer fire departments and give tips on fire safety.
