OCC Raising Funds to Replace Floor
The Community Center is in the process of raising funds to replace the floor in the main room at the Center.  The community center board is asking individuals, businesses and organizations for contributions to help fund the project.

The present floor, which was installed before the grand opening in 2005, will be replaced with a similar type floor.  There have been big advances in product quality and methods of preparing the floor before the epoxy is applied. The present floor covering will be completely removed and the ridges in the concrete will be ground off to make a level floor.

The board has a $28,000 quote and would like to start raising funds in order to apply for grants after some of the money has been committed.

The board is proud of the service that the Community Center provides for Odebolt and the surrounding area, such as a reasonable rental fee, no charge for benefits and no charge for churches that want to use it for funeral lunches.

Donations may be
sent to: Odebolt Community Center, Box 279, Odebolt, IA 51458;
dropped off at United Bank of Iowa, 301 S. Main St.;
or given to board members:  Steve Bengford, Todd or Angie Bengford, Ann Hoefling, Bob Harden, Rick Crawford, Joyce Curtis, Carolyn Hoelscher, Ron or Jenny Sorensen or Janet Leonard.

Please make your check out to “Odebolt Community Center” and indicate “flooring” in the memo line.
