Sac County Libraries Receive Technology Grant
Iowa Library Services is pleased to announce that the Sac County libraries in Auburn, Early, Lytton, Odebolt, Sac City, Schaller and Wall Lake have received a Library Technology Grant Award in the amount of $10,475.84 for the purchase of two new computers for each library and a laptop lab that can be shared for computer classes.

The State Library of Iowa awarded 63 technology grants to 97 Iowa libraries from technology funds allocated by the Iowa Legislature during the 2013 session. 194 grant applications were submitted representing 255 libraries. Grant awards range from $804.98 for a single library with a single project to $13,499.10 to a group of 9 libraries in one county.

Awarded libraries and groups of libraries are expected to sign a grant agreement, submit a report to the Iowa Legislature by March 1, and apply for reimbursement. The projects must be completed by June 30, 2014.
