Odebolt Historical Museum Minutes - June 27, 2012
Members of the Odebolt Historical Museum met on June 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present – Thelma Schroeder, Renea Babcock, Alice Hemphill, Kathy Larson, Marilyn King, Rebecca Ullrich and Eleanor Petersen.
President Kathy Larson called the meeting to order. The Secretary’s report was read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was presented and approved. Kathy recently purchased a new shop vac. She also purchased Black Jack gum that was given to visitors at the museum during Creek Days. Many ornaments were sold during Creek Days.
Old Business – More information is needed about the Cook Ranch. Eleanor may have some information and Doug Kies may have information in some of his mother’s memoirs.
New Business – The museum has been receiving many donated items lately. Eleanor Petersen has a cream separator and sewing machine to donate, but the museum already has these items. The museum will be more selective when accepting items and artifacts in the future. There was another bat in the museum, so Kathy will be in touch the Batman.
The next meeting will be July 25, 2012.
