Death notice

I wanted to send you the remembrance below that is being posted in the Minneapolis Tribune.  The event to celebrate Bud Frevert is in place for June 2nd at his Bayview Manor home in Seattle. Thank each of you who have generously shared stories and remembrances of Bud. My brothers and I have greatly appreciated the lovely and loving messages; these will be shared with others joining us in Seattle next month.
  - Katie Frevert

R. Fredric (Bud) Frevert passed away on March 1, 2012. Fred was born June 2, 1922 and raised in Odebolt, Iowa, the grandson of Henry Anton Frevert, son of Anna Keller and Fred A. Frevert.

He served as a Navy lieutenant in WWII. His career in marketing research began in1947 in New Jersey, then Chicago and New York ultimately to Minnesota working with General Mills; he ran two private research firms before he retired in 1988.  Fred (Bud) found and archived untold layers of family history both genealogical and anecdotal. Bud was married to Patricia Kehoe Frevert for 57 years and he is survived by three children and four grandchildren.

Bud was an extraordinary human being who was an observant and engaging world traveler. At an age when people often look inward he continued looking around the next corner. Those who knew him describe him as an exceptional gentleman, gracious, caring and smart.

Friends and family will celebrate Bud’s life in Seattle on what would have been his 90th birthday, June 2, 2012.
