NOTICE OF HEARING

To All Who May Be Concerned:

You are hereby notified that there is now on file in the office of the City Clerk, a copy of An Ordinance Adopting the Code of Ordinances of the City of Odebolt, Iowa 2011.

Copies of the proposed Code of Ordinances to be adopted are available at the City Clerk's office for public inspection.

You are further notified that the Council will hold a public hearing on said proposed Code of Ordinances at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the 7th day of November, 2011, at the Council Chambers in the City of Odebolt, at which time the Council will hear any comments or objections to said Code of Ordinances prior to final adoption.

CITY ELECTIONS ON NOVEMBER 8
Incumbents Todd Bengford, Robert G. (Butch) Hemphill and James Scott are seeking re-election to the city council.

Vote at the Odebolt Fire Station.


CHRONICLE TURKEY DRAWING OFFICIAL RULES
Many of the area businesses are again taking part in the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drawing sponsored by The Chronicle.

To enter the drawing, clip the turkey ads from the paper and fill out the registration form. (No copies accepted). Take your entry to the participating businesses.

Turkey registration forms are in The Chronicle for two weeks. The drawings will be held Monday, November 14 and winners from each participating business will be notified.

Turkeys can be picked up after November 16 at Jamboree Foods in Odebolt or Wall Lake.  Employees cannot register where employed but can register at the other participating businesses.


VETERANS' DAY CLOSINGS
The Sac County Courthouse will be closed on Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans' Day.

United Bank of Iowa, Member FDIC, will be closed Friday, November 11th, 2011 in observance of Veterans' Day.


Going South?
There is a $1 charge per month if you are changing your address for the winter months, due to extra postage.  Please let us know two weeks in advance to have your address changed.  Next spring, please let us know 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE to have your address changed back.
