RURAL LEGACY PROJECT HAS BEGUN….."ACTION ON THE CORNER!"
You may have noticed that the process has begun on the Rural Legacy Project of the City of Odebolt, which will place the Richland #1 school building on the 2nd Street vacant lot adjacent to the new Green Space Park.

Greg Neville Construction crew was hard at work digging the footings area out and then running the concrete for them and for the foundation.  Moving of the building is hoped to be accomplished yet this fall, so that electrification can be done and then, later, the interior work, when cold weather arrives.  This part of the work has been and will be funded by the Sac County Endowment Grant and the Gil and Barbara Renze Foundation Grant.

The building is planned to be a museum dedicated to the rural development of Iowa and its communities, which centered around the many rural school districts.
