NOTICE
As different issues arise and changes to the Odebolt- Arthur School District occur, it is possible that questions come to mind that the citizens of Odebolt and Arthur may need answers from a school board member. I would like to extend an invitation to any and all community members of the Odebolt-Arthur School District to join me as I will be in the conference room at the school from 12 to 1 every weekday or any time by appointment to suit your schedule. Bring your questions and an open mind and I will be glad to have a conversation.

Kiron Man dies in tractor roll-over
The Iowa State Patrol issued a press release concerning a tractor rollover accident that resulted in the death of John Wesley Larson, 79, of Kiron.

According to the press release, on July 2 Larson was mowing grass near the edge of 320th Street east of Pioneer Avenue in Ida County when the left rear tire of the John Deere tractor dropped off the edge of the roadway. This caused the tractor to roll, coming to rest on its top and pinning Larson under the vehicle.

Larson was transported to Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove where he was later pronounced deceased. The Ida County Sheriff’s Office, Kiron Fire and Rescue and Ida Grove Rescue assisted at the scene  (Obituary at idacountycourier.com)
