Notice: Filing of objections to school reorganization / hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE
CONCERNING PETITION FOR REORGANIZATION OF
ODEBOLT-ARTHUR COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND
BATTLE CREEK-IDA GROVE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

    Notice is hereby given that all objections to the petition for the reorganization of the Odebolt-Arthur Community School District and the Battle Creek-Ida Grove Community School District must be filed in the Office of the Administrator of Northwest Area Education Agency, 1520 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa 51106-1716, no later than 12 o'clock Noon on June 20, 2011.  Objections must be in writing in the form of an affidavit and may be made by any person residing or owning land within the territory described in the petition or by any person who would be injuriously affected by the change petitioned for.  Objection forms may be obtained from the Office of the Administrator of Northwest Area Education Agency, 1520 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa 51106-1716 or the Office of the Administrator of Prairie Lakes AEA 8, 500 NE 6th Street, Pocahontas, Iowa 50574-2204.  Objections which request that property be removed from the proposed district must include the correct legal description of the property to be removed.

    Notice is also given that a hearing concerning the petition for the reorganization of the Odebolt-Arthur Community School District and the Battle Creek-Ida Grove Community School District will be held before Joint Board consisting of the Board of Directors of Northwest Area Education Agency and the Board of Directors of Prairie Lakes AEA on June 29, 2011, beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the High School Cafeteria of the Battle Creek-Ida Grove Community School District located at 900 John Montgomery Drive in Ida Grove, Iowa.
