Adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 11.15….The City Council shall meet on the 9th day of May, 2011, at the City Hall, Odebolt, Iowa, at 6 o’clock p.m., at which time and place a hearing will be held and proceedings will be instituted and action taken on a loan agreement in a principal amount not to exceed $1,600,000, for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of constructing improvements to the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System. All ayes.
Adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 11.16… The City Council of the City of Odebolt, Iowa, will meet on the 9th day of May, 2011, at the City Hall, Odebolt, Iowa, at 6 o’clock p.m. for the purpose of instituting proceedings and taking action to enter into a General Obligation loan and disbursement agreement in a principal amount not to exceed $500,000 for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of constructing improvements to the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System. All ayes.
Sheriff McClure was present and spoke on the approaching Narrow Banding Compliance requirements. He also spoke on paging by text messaging and in-car messaging. Hemphill complimented Law Enforcement on the efficient coverage during the recent tornados.
Some citizens did not hear the sirens during the storms. Discussion then followed on what options could be taken. Councilman Flink and Supt. Tysor will look into the situation and make recommendation to the Council.
