Emergency Shelters in Sac County
In case of emergency the following will be established as shelters by the EMA Director:
Sac Community Center in Sac City
Fire Station in Lake View
Municipal building in Early (overflow to the School building)
Fire Station in Auburn
Fire Station in Odebolt
Fire Station in Wall Lake
There will be a meeting this month to discuss other shelters (such as Schaller & Lytton) and the possibility of having cots on hand.  One time this year so far, the highways were shut down because of blizzard conditions,  so it's important that people in each community are aware of the available shelters, not only for Sac County citizens, but also for travelers passing through.  Please share this information with others.

A dedication of the new Sac County Veterans Memorial on the Sac County Courthouse grounds has been scheduled for Sunday, May 29, 2011.
