St. Martin to Host Potluck
On October 19 at 6 p.m. there will be a potluck meal at the parish hall at St. Martin's Church in Odebolt.

At 7:15 p.m. Sister Shirley Fineran will be the guest speaker.  She will be speaking about human trafficking in the surrounding area and nationally.

Everyone is welcome to attend.


Century and Heritage Farms Recognized at Iowa State Fair
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey recognized Century and Heritage Farm families during a ceremony at the State Fair again this year.  To qualify, a family must have owned at least 40 acres for 100 years or more in the case of Century Farms and 150 years or more for a Heritage Farm

This year 366 Century Farms and 101 Heritage Farms were recognized, among them the Raasch family farm near Odebolt.
