You Are Invited To An 1880’s Victorian High Tea In Odebolt
The Rural Legacy Project Steering Committee, assisted by the Odebolt Questers, will be presenting the opportunity to experience a Victorian Afternoon. It will take place in Odebolt on Saturday, May 10th, and is designed for the area grandmothers, mothers, and daughters, of all ages.

The Victorian High Tea will be served in the Fellowship Hall of the Odebolt First Presbyterian Church, starting at 2:00 p.m.  Lunch with fancy sandwiches, tea cakes and sweets will be served.

We encourage all who attend to feel free to wear period clothing to make the experience more complete!  Also, the younger “ladies” are also asked to bring along their special dolls.  We will offer an explanation of Victorian influences in dress, dolls, and building styles as well as in the styles of writing and social interactions of the period.

There will be the High Tea, and some special activities for the daughters, for the price of a free will donation at the door.   Funds collected will go toward the continued development of the Heritage Square of Odebolt on Second Street.

Both the Peterson Pioneer Home and the Iowa Rural Schools Museum will be open for tours and other activities after the Tea and until 4:00 p.m.  Please make plans now to join us the afternoon of May 10th in Odebolt!
