Excerpts from the minutes:
Ordinance 03.13 – Final Reading – Water Rate Increase. Section 92.02 of said Chapter is hereby repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof: 92.2 Rates and Service. Water service shall be furnished at the following rates within the City: (Code of Iowa, Sec.384.84 [1]).
1. First 1,000 gallons used per one-month period minimum bill $13.00.
2. All over 1,000 gallons used per one-month period at $4.00 per 1,000 gallons.

The above rates go into effect September 1, 2013.
Ordinance 04.13- Amend 92.05- Services Discontinued (on/off) - 3. Fee. Charge of $10 on fee to be changed to $75.00 with delinquent accounts but remain $10 ten dollars for seasonal and initial on/off fees.
Windows and wooden door frame in City Hall to be replaced.
Council accepted Donarae Cleveland’s resignation as Library Director. Council would like to express gratitude for 15.5 years of service! An ad will be placed to fill Donarae’s position.
Odebolt Swimming Pool close date is August 19, 2013. Pool deck to be started in September and completed by October.
OTHER NEWS
Reminder to all parents: Please be sure you & your children are following curfew! Persons under 18 must be with an adult from 11pm to 6am Sunday through Thursday; and 12am to 6am Friday & Saturday. Please advise kids to be safe on bikes especially after dark!
The ODC will be hosting a
GLO-Ball Tournament fundraiser September 21, 2013. There are only 27
spots, so let Janet Hoefling or Jade Godbersen know if you have a team.
It will be a 4-person best ball - $120/team.
