Notes from the June 3, 2013 City Council Meeting

Water rate increase coming - Motion was made by Hemphill and seconded by Flink (first reading) to raise the water rate to $13.00 plus tax for first 1,000 gallon usage and $4.00 for each additional 1,000 gallons used over the base rate.  There will be two more readings of the rate changes over the next two Council Meetings.

Deb Reinhart was hired by City as part-time office assistant.  Joan Godbersen to be fill-in.

Reminder - Golf carts and UTV's need to be registered with permit through the City.  No kids shall be permitted to drive.

The City would like to thank Joan & Larry Hoaglund for their donation of $20.00 in memory of Lois Siebrecht to the Odebolt Pool.

Odebolt Vacation Bible School

Odebolt VBS will be held July 7th - 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. presented by the Camp Counselors from Lutheran Lakeside Camp in Spirit Lake, IA.  VBS will be available for all youth who are 4 years old to those that just completed 5th grade.  Call Faith Lutheran Church in Odebolt for information.  668-4515


Community Basket Mobile Food Pantry

The next distribution is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th at the United Methodist Church in Holstein.  The site pantry, located under the Medical Arts Building in Ida Grove, is open on Thursday afternoons from 1-4.
