News from The Chronicle

The Sac County Conservation Center will be open on the first Sunday of each month from 1:00-3:00 p.m. beginning Sunday, May 5th.  The Sac County Conservation Board would also like to encourage the public to stop by to visit and take a look at the exhibits/displays anytime during normal office hours Monday through Friday. 

On Sunday, May 5, Rene Stroud, Sac County Naturalist, is hosting a "Naturalist Lunch Box" program from noon to 1:00 at the Sac County Conservation Center.


City of Odebolt Receives Grant
Iowa Network Services, Inc. (INS) presented an INS Charity Grant Program Award to the City of Odebolt in conjunction with the Sac County Mutual Telephone Company, which sponsored the grant application.  The grant will be used for the Odebolt swimming pool deck.

INS created the grant program in 1993 to increase service and support to the rural independent telecommunications companies and the communities it serves.

Arthur Public Library's "Pancakes for Our Patrons" will be held at the Arthur Community Center on Sunday, May 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  They will serve pancakes, sausage, fruit and beverage.  Free-will donations will be accepted.  Bidding on theme baskets in a silent auction will be open until May 5.  Baskets are on display at the Arthur Public Library.
