Spring Salad Luncheon

St. Martin’s Ladies’ Guild of Odebolt will host its annual spring salad luncheon and card party on Tuesday, March 27, in the church hall.

This year’s menu consists of meatballs, salad bar, roll and dessert. This will be followed by a card party playing Euchre, bridge, pinochle and 500. Serving will be from 11:30 a. m. to 12:45 p. m., with the card party to follow from 1 to 3 p. m.

Entertainment will be presented during the lunch. Door prizes will also be given. All this for only $7. This is not for women only.


Pat Miller resigns as Falcons’ coach

O-A/BC-IG High School girls’ basketball coach Pat Miller submitted his resignation as coach of the Falcons to the O-A/BC-IG school board Monday. Miller plans to stay on as high school principal.

The board did accept the resignation without any conditions.

In his nine seasons coaching the Falcons, Miller posted a record of 202-27. He led the girls to six state tournaments where the Falcons won the 2011 class 2A state championship and finished second in 2006 and 2007.O-A/BC-IG reached the semifinal round in 2010 and 2012.

In his 18-year coaching career Miller has a record of 325-102.

Miller noted its time to step aside so he can spend more time watching his son Isaiah Miller play college basketball at Graceland University in Lamoni. Isaiah recently completed his freshman season at Graceland.
