Ag in the Classroom
The Sac County Ag in the Classroom Team gave presentations at the Odebolt middle school building on February 17.  There were 20-minute sessions about organic farming, veterinary medicine, crop scouting and mapping, beekeeping, horticulture, global marketing of beef, ag machinery technology, and more.  Presenters included Gary Sykes, Todd Bettin, Roger Lansink, Mark Raasch, Justin McAtee, Terri Carstensen, Matt Huegerich, Sue Peyton, Lois Spaulding, Chris Bass, Jack and Jane Hogue and Holly Sandoff.

Soup On Sunday

SOS is a special time of gathering for ALL members of our community.  It is sponsored by Odebolt, Arthur, and Kiron Ministerial Association.  You may call the Odebolt Community Center on the day of the meals after 3 p.m. to place an order to go.  668-2223.
Everyone is welcome!  Free will donations accepted.


World Day of Prayer
This year's service in Odebolt will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at the First Presbyterian Church.  Invite your friends, family and other communities of faith to join us and the women of Malaysia in prayer and song to support ecumenical efforts toward justice, peace, healing, and wholeness.  The annual offering supports the work of World Day of Prayer USA and helps meet the needs of families in Malaysia and around the world who are victims of many forms of poverty, violence, and injustice.  Women and men from the area churches are welcome to attend this program presented by an ecumenical group of women of the area churches.

Benefit for Bird Family
A benefit meal for the family of Charles Bird will be held at the Odebolt Community Center on Sunday, March 4th.  Free-will donations will be accepted.  A soup dinner and cinnamon rolls will be served from 11:30 - 1:00.

This week's Chronicle includes two extra sections:  A salute to corn producers and an FFA pull-out section.
