Legacy of Leadership Award to Late Curt Raasch
The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) has announced the winners of new awards the association has established this year to recognize those who have demonstrated commitment and leadership in the field of agriculture.

The Legacy of Leadership Award, presented by Stine Seed, was presented to the family of the late Curt Raasch, of Odebolt, Iowa.  Raasch demonstrated a passionate and relentless commitment to growing the soybean industry in Iowa. A fourth-generation farmer, he was very active in the soybean industry for more than two decades, culminating with serving as chairman of the United Soybean Board in 2006.

"Over the many years that I have worked for Iowa's soybean farmers, there are very few farmers that I have met who have had a larger impact on my time at ISA than has Curt Raasch," says ISA CEO Kirk Leeds.  "In his service on the Iowa checkoff board and as a leader on the United Soybean Board, he always brought his no-nonsense, farmer perspective to issues and decisions.  He has truly left behind a legacy of leadership for the soybean leadership."
