Gwen (Buehler) Bender, age 62, of Carroll, Iowa, formerly of Odebolt, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, at the First Assembly of God Church in Carroll. The casket will be moved to the church at 9:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of service. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.

A body found by a road worker about a 1/2 mile south of Arthur, Iowa in a ditch along 260th Street Thursday morning (2-9-12) may be the body of Charles Bird, 44, of Odebolt, who has been missing since January 7th.
